Luke 19:11-27

David Winfield preaches through Luke 19:11–27, showing that Jesus’ kingdom is already inaugurated but awaits its final consummation when the King returns. The parable calls believers to receive Jesus with joy and faithfully steward the time, abilities, resources, influence, and gospel entrusted to them, knowing that faithful servants will receive the King’s commendation while rejecting his rule leads to condemnation. Jesus’ warning is heavy, but the sermon ends with the gospel: although we are often unfaithful, King Jesus remains faithful, offering redemption, forgiveness, and entrance into his kingdom through his death to everyone who turns to him in trusting faith.
