Our work in the Downtown Eastside (DTES) aims to provide friendship, compassion and gospel hope to the most vulnerable people in our city. Heath Meikle works on the team as an Urban Chaplain, working in the DTES alongside established ministry partners.

And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

  1. We are recipients of Jesus’ compassion. 
  2. We desire to be a community that extends the compassion of Jesus to others.
